Learning Objectives: 1.1 Understanding that matter exist in the form of solid, liquid or gas
Learning Outcomes: At the end of this lesson, pupils will be able to :
1.1.1    Classify  objects and materials into states of matter
1.1.2  State the properties of solid
1.1.3  State the properties of liquid
Scientific Skills   : Observing, classifying, making inference, communicating
Thinking Skills    :  Attributing, comparing and contrasting
Scientific Attitudes/ noble values / patriotism / Historical Values:
-          Being honest and accurate in recording and validating data
-          Pupils honestly record their observation as they study the properties as solid , liquid and gas.

Teaching and learning Aids – LCD, laptop, screen, materials picture, worksheet
Prior Knowledge : pupils have experienced dissolving substances into water in year 2. They have
                                 handled solid and liquid in that topic.

2.       Pupils are asked to state about:
Question 
        -List the object that you can see in  the picture.
                Answers: cake, glass, balloon, etc.
              - pupils  state whether the objects  can be touch, hold or melt.
              -State the characteristics of these  objects.
               Answers: fixed shape, hard, have mass etc.

3.       Teacher relates them to the content of this unit.

1.       Teacher  begin the lesson by relating pupils prior knowledge to the topic.
Question :
-In year 2, pupils did an activity on mixing salt with water.
 What happens to the salt?
What is the difference between salt and water?

2.       Teacher conclude by saying salt is example of solid and water is an example of liquid.

3.       Student have been shown an object picture. The student are asked by teacher to identify the solid and liquid object.

4.       Teacher and pupils do discussion about the picture that had been shown.

1.       Students are divided into 6 groups.

2.       Each group is given a set of an object picture.

3.       Each group need to classify matter into three groups according to the physical properties and write in the mahjong paper. Teacher guide the pupils.

4.       Teacher later invite pupils to their presentation

5.       Teacher guide the pupils to do brainstorming about question in interactive worksheet

                 - has fixed volume,
                 - has no permanent shape

3.       Student also need to complete the worksheet to enhance their understanding
